Jo Ann Acuff

Jo Ann Acuff, 89, of Glen Alpine, NC, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019. Born on October 20, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Jairus and Ethel Frye. Jo Ann was a member of Table Rock Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Jo Ann is survived by her children, Susanne Marie Maggart (Ed) of Asheville, NC, Calvin C. Acuff, Jr., (Lisa) and David Mark Acuff (Maxine) both of Glen Alpine, Lori Rene Jarrett (Roger) of Sumter, SC, April Joy Enderle (Hans) of Asheville, NC, Gene Christopher Acuff (Patty) of Atlanta, GA; 10 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Calvin C. Acuff.

The family will receive friends from 3:00pm until 4:00pm, Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A Celebration of life will be held at 4:00pm in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Willard Watkins and Faye Acuff officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, 1721 Enon Rd, Valdese, NC 28690.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
