Jimmy "Jimbo" Lee Winters, Jr.

Jimmy “Jimbo” Lee Winters, Jr., 54, of Morganton passed away Friday, November 2, 2018.  Born June 27, 1964, he was a son of Jimmy Lee Winters, Sr. and Betty Lou Buchanan Winters of Morganton.  The light of Jimmy’s life was his grandchildren and the enjoyment they brought to him.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Winters is survived by his daughters, Ashley Harper (Herron III), Lacey Hull (Michael), and Jennifer Winters all of Morganton, and nine grandchildren.  Also surviving are siblings, Debbie Duckworth of Morganton, Robert Winters (Shirley) of San Antonio, Barbara Williams (Bobby) of Connelly Springs, Pam Kennedy of Glen Alpine, Kathy Smith (Steve) of Morganton, and Dennis Winters of Morganton; thirteen nieces and nephews and ex-wife, Lisa Penley of Morganton.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m., Monday, November 5, 2018 at Sossoman Funeral Home. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
