Jimmy Bostian, 69, of Valdese, NC, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

Born in Burke County, NC on December 13, 1956, he was the son of the late Jimmie Leroy Bostian and Thelma Cleo Weatherford Bostian.

Jimmy was a loving husband, step-father, step-grandfather, and brother. He worked out daily to stay fit, and enjoyed martial arts, fishing, and movies.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, Karen Bostian; step-daughters, Ambyr Hensley (Justin) and Jennifer Spencer (Robert); step-son, PJ Turner; step-grandchildren, Micheala, Logan, and Luca Spencer; brothers, Michael Bostian (Jennifer) and Mark Bostian (Kim); numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family; and his beloved cats.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Friday, February 27, 2026 at Antioch Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in the church with Rev. Wallace Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sossoman Funeral Home, PO Box 2608, Morganton, NC 28680.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
