Jerry Allen Bartee, 56, of Connelly Springs, NC went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 18, 2021. Born September 1, 1964, in Washington, DC, he was the youngest of four sons to James Richard Bartee, Sr. and Christine Linkous Bartee.
Mr. Bartee was a devoted husband, father, and Pa Paw that loved his family. He was a fun-loving, free-spirited man. He enjoyed doing anything outdoors, but especially spending time working in the yard with his wife. Jerry was devoted to his community, a boy scout leader for six years, and a member of Bible Missionary Baptist Church. He also enjoyed spending time on the Linkous farm in Wytheville, VA.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Mullins Bartee; son, Thomas Allen Bartee (Melissa) of Colorado; step-daughters, Kayla Norris (Justin), Kimberly Browning, and Karissa Browning; grandchildren, Morelyn Norris, Joseph Norris, and Alyejah Browning; brothers, James Richard Bartee, Jr., David Bartee, and Kenneth Bartee; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1pm, Friday, January 22, 2021 at Bible Missionary Baptist Church in Morganton, NC. The service will be held at 1pm, in the church with Rev. Ricky Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
