Jeremy Korobeyko, 34, of York St., Morganton, NC was called home to be with his Lord Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Hospice of Catawba County in Newton, NC following a courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of Vicky A. Korobeyko of Morganton, and the late Richard Walter Korobeyko. Jeremy was an electrician and worked in the construction industry.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Crystal Stamey Korobeyko of Morganton; children, Todd Korobeyko and Hannah Korobeyko, both of Morganton; paternal grandmother, Anne Page of Margate, FL; aunts and uncles, Rheta Farris and companion, Tom Lail of Morganton, Lewis Arney, II of Henderson, NC, Patti Fitschen, husband, John, and their two sons, and Ellen Jenkins and her two daughters, all of Margate, FL; cousins, Shea Whittington and her sons, Farris Shuping and Tanner Whittington, all of Morganton, and Brittainy Arney of Lenoir, NC; parents-in-law, Claude and Phyllis Stamey of Morganton; and brothers-in-law, James and Johnny Stamey, both of Morganton.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 27, 2008 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Homer Murdock and Todd Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Vicky Korobeyko, 121 York St., Morganton. Memorial contributions may be made to Palliative Care Center & Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658.
