Jeffrey "Jeff" Arney

Jeffrey “Jeff” Arney, 49, of Morganton passed away at his home on Monday, October 9, 2017. Born in Burke County, NC on March 30, 1968, he was the son of Joanne Shelton Arney of Morganton and the late Clyde Philmore Arney. Jeff was a member of Morganton Free Will Baptist Church and had worked at Viscotec. He loved classic muscle cars, working on cars, and his family.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Arney is survived by his wife, Peggy Sue Mason Arney of the home; daughter, Shan Bryson of Morganton; sons, Bret Bryson, Steven Arney, and Randy Arney and wife, Cassie, all of Morganton; a granddaughter, Sarah Arney; brother, Robert Arney and wife, April; and nieces, C. J. and J. Lee Arney.
A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Broughton Hospital Chapel with Pastor Jeff Boone officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
