Jeannette Lorain Voegtline Beucus died March 8, 2026. Mrs. Beucus came to Morganton, NC in 1972 and spent time at her homes in Suntree, Melbourne, FL and in Seven Devils, NC.
Mrs. Beucus was born August 13, 1930 in Republic, Michigan and graduated from Republic High School and Felt and Tarrant Business School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She married A. John Beucus IV in 1952 in Republic, Michigan. The couple lived in London, Ontario, Canada for ten years, ten years in Delavan, Wisconsin and 18 years in Morganton, North Carolina where she retired as Secretary-Treasurer of Beu-Tex Corporation.
She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Morganton, NC and St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Melbourne, FL and St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Linville, NC
Mrs. Beucus was a member of Mimosa Hills Country Club, Morganton, NC, Suntree Country Club, Melbourne, FL and Hawksnest Golf Club, Seven Devils, NC.
Mrs. Beucus is survived by her daughter Katherine Beucus and son A. John Beucus V. Her two daughters, Barbara Latimer and Laurie Rubner preceded her in death. She leaves behind eight grandchildren, Marc, Stephen, Patrick, Phillip, Abe VI, Graham, Julia & Dinah; along with two great grandchildren, Kinsley, Carmen, and Abe VII.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
