Jean Dana Smith age 97, who had resided previously at Curwen Circle, Rosemont, PA, 13 Donna Lane, Wayne, PA, and then in Morganton, NC, peacefully went to be with Jesus on August 1, 2026.
She was the previously married to John T. Carpenter Jr., and Thomas B. Smith II, who both preceded her in death. She is survived by her son’s John T. Carpenter III, Geoffrey S. Carpenter, and preceded in death by her daughter, Charlotte M. Pinapfel.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Charlotte Pinapfel, Lindsey Pinapfel, Dana Pinapfel, and Matthew Pinapfel. Also, John T. Carpenter IV, Jaclyn Carpenter, and Scott Carpenter. Additionally, there are 6 great-grandchildren.
At this time, no funeral service is planned, but there may be a celebration of life at date to be announced later.
