Jay Ervin Clark, 53, of Morganton died Saturday, January 9, 2021. Born in Burke County, NC on September 10, 1967, he was the son of the late Ray Alexander Clark and Nancy Elizabeth Poteet Clark. Jay was a talented carpenter who enjoyed construction, including drawing his own blueprints. He loved his family and enjoyed writing poetry.
Jay is survived by his daughter, Sarah Clark; grandchildren, Madison and Elijah Cole; a brother, Ray Clark and wife, Julie; and nephews, Samuel and Eli.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
