On Saturday, July 15, 2023, Jason answered a call from the Savior to come home from his labor to reward while at Carolina Rehab of Burke.

Jason worked numerous jobs, Drexel heritage, Galey and Lord, and as an orderly at Pardee Hospital of Hendersonville, N. C.

He was a loving father, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend.

Jason was preceded in death by his parents, Jason Hershelle Ervin and Margaret Moore Ervin. His two sisters, Katherine Wallace of Cleveland, Ohio and Katie Sue Kanipe, one brother Rachelle Erwin of Ohio, his granddaughter, Jade Simberlyand the love of his life, Brenda Hill, both of Hendersonville, NC. Along with all his aunts, uncles, nephews, and niece of Ohio.

Those left to cherish Jason’s memories include, his daughter, Monica Hill, granddaughter, Sydney Simberly, a sister, Henrietta Ervin Howell, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held Friday, July 21, 2023 in the chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home of Morganton, NC. Viewing from 12:00-12:30pm. Service will begin at 12:30pm. The Dr. Rev. Julious Hunter will be officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
