Janice Amelia Brown

Janice Amelia Brown, 76 of Hudson, NC, passed away peacefully Friday, June 20, 2025. Born on August 5, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Fillmore and Pauline Brown. Janice was a member of Drexel First Church of God where she sang in the choir and was the Sunday School Secretary. She retired from Alba Waldensian. Janice was an avid Carolina Tar Heel and Atlanta Braves fan.

Janice is survived by her sisters, Darla Fox (Mike), Patti Day (Keith); loving nephews, Blake Lippard, Justin Barnes (Channing), Neil Lippard; and many loving cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her nephew, Zachary Ammons.

A graveside will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at the Drexel First Church of God Cemetery.

In lieu of flower, memorials may be donated to the Drexel First Church of God or to the American Diabetes Association.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
