My world, my love, my heart, my soul, my inspiration, my hero......Jamie never ceased to amaze me. That's a fact. Of all the things that I have learned from her in our time together I didn't have a clue about how she became the wonderful person that she was. In over 15 years together she never spoke much about her past, not even a single story from her childhood. I often wondered why but never pressed the issue. I figured she would share it with me when she was ready. Whenever that would be.... sadly the time we had together came to end before she could. Whatever she was battling inside had consumed her vision, her ability to walk, had caused incontinence, pain, severe weight loss no matter how much she ate. This over a period of around a year and a half or so. But through it all she never once quit trying to get better. She never complained about her pain, or the terrible traumatic situations that she had been through. She was such a good woman, I'm blessed that she came into my life, her absolute strength and sheer will made me strive to be a better person for her, to her. Lord knows she deserved to be treated better than she'd been. Outcast, forgotten, abused, neglected......it is so very sad that such a beautiful person who I love so much, endured all the unnecessary pain and suffering she did. Yet somehow found it in her heart to forgive whoever or whatever it was that had slowly taken her from this cruel world. Life has a way of teaching us lessons sometimes, they are usually the hardest to handle. My only wish is that I have the strength to meet each day with a fraction of the courage and grace that you have shown me in our time together. With hope that one day I will become a better person and find forgiveness in my heart for all the wrong things that you have endured. One can only hope. Rest in peace sweetheart. I miss you, and I love you.
