James Lee “Harrison” Norman, 76, of Morganton, NC passed away, Saturday, December 9, 2023. Born on June 7, 1947, he was the son of the late Grover Norman and Virgie Bollinger. Harrison enjoyed shooting pool, watching baseball and wrestling, old Westerns movies and listing to old country music. He was a loving father, husband and brother who cared for his family very much.
Harrison is survived by his wife, Margie Smith; daughters, Jeanne Messer (Jason), Rebecca Robinson (Clint); son, John Messer; grandchildren, Kendall Ray, Kalep Ray, Cierra Robinson, Calvin Robinson, Samuel Howard; two brothers.
In addition to his parents, Harrison was preceded in death by a sister.
A graveside service will be held at 11am, Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Burke Memorial Park.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
