James L. Wright, 66, of Denton Avenue, Morganton, NC died Monday, January 29, 2007 following a brief illness. He was born in Bexar County, TX on December 27, 1940 and was a son of Dorothy Clark Vandiver of San Antonio, TX and the late James Robert Wright. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Allen Wright, and by his step-father, Pete Vandiver. Mr. Wright was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Patricia Marie Shook Wright, of Belfry, KY; his daughters and their husbands, Mary and Greg Patrick of Morganton and Linda and Frank Macias of San Antonio; a son, Larry Pacccione of San Antonio; brothers, Bill Vandiver of Thomasville, NC and Steve Vandiver, of San Antonio; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Enon Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Garner officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
