James “Jamie” Raper, 50, of Morganton, NC passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 29, 2021. He was born on July 14, 1970 in Akron, OH and was the son of Brenda Crites Edwards and the late Ralph Raper. He worked at Siegwerk Company. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting and loved to go 4-wheeling.
He is survived by his wife, Christine “Tina” Durham Raper; son, Joey Durham (fiancée, Erica Dowling); daughter, Jaimie Hill; brother, Danny Raper; sister, Sherry Raper; grandchildren, Elijah Dowling, Harper Dowling, and Ayden Durham.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
