James “Jamie” Cacella

Mr. James “Jamie” Cacella, 46, of Morganton, NC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 after a long period of declining health.

Jamie is preceded in death by his dad, Rev. Charles “Chuck” Myers, maternal and paternal grandparents, and his loving furbaby, Yoshi.

Jamie leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Laura McLeod; wife, Aurora Cavasos; brother, David Moses (Kotang Cha-Moses); nephew, Michael Moses; nieces, Emily and Kaydee Moses; aunt, Phyllis Huff (Michael); and his best friend, Pao, along with a host of other family and friends.

Jamie was a very loving and compassionate soul, avid gamer, and excellent artist. He graduated from Freedom High School and WPCC with an Associate Degree in Art.

Services will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Lighthouse Ministries, 1728 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690, with visitation from 1-2 p.m. and a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. Officiating will be Pastors Virgil and Donna O’Neil with Brother Joshua Singleton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a memorial contribution to Lighthouse Ministries Church c/o Virgil and Donna O’Neil, 1378 Lakeview Acres Dr., Valdese, NC 28690 or to Midnight Cry, 130 Fairway Dr. SW, Conover, NC 28613.
