James B. “Pop” Pruett, 75, of Morganton, NC died Friday, January 9, 2015. Born on July 15, 1939, he was the son of the late James Glen Pruett and Bonnie Christine Metcalf Pruett. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Pop is survived by his children, Phillip G. Pruett and his wife, Deb, of Ohio, Lorraine Pruett of Morganton, Jack W. Pruett and his wife, Cathy, of South Carolina, and Helen P. Walker and her husband, Bernard, of Virginia; a number of grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Pop was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Pruett.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family.
