Jack R. Morrison

Jack R. Morrison, 75, of Morganton, NC, went to his Heavenly resting home on Sunday, April 13, 2025. Born in Rutherford County, NC on December 18, 1949, he was the son of the late Ralph and Macie Devinney Morrison. Jack enjoyed helping others and was a proud blood donor. He was a great help to his neighbors and referred to it as his widow works. He could frequently be seen in his old red Ford truck heading out. Jack worked at Henredon Furniture for 40 years and he was a faithful Christian. Jack enjoyed camping at Steele Creek Park, where he and Kathy had a site for 20 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kathy D. Morrison; son, Adam (Shirley) Morrison; daughter, Katie Nightengale (Skyler); grandchildren, Macie Morrison, Rebecca Nightengale, and Brooke Brewer; nieces, Debbie Burns, Rebecca Elliott; nephew, Tommy Morrison; and extended family. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a son, Jody R. Morrison; and siblings, Neil Morrison, Nellie Dobson, Helen Elliott, Rebecca Arrowood and a nephew, Robbin Dobson. The family will hold a service for Jack at a later Date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
