Jack McDonald Buff, 76, of Morganton, NC died Saturday, November 7, 2015. Born in Burke County, NC on December 25, 1938, he was the son of the late Clarence Luico Buff and Mary Bollinger Buff. Jack was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother who was loved by everyone.
Mr. Buff is survived by his wife, Kathryn Branch Buff of the home; a son, Timothy Shannon Buff and his wife, Lorie, of Morganton; Jackie Darlene Buff Lynn of Morganton; grandchildren, Cura Montine Richardson, William Jack Lynn, Timothy Christen Buff, Erika Brooklyn Buff, and Toby Eugene Hill; great-grandchildren, Michael Richardson, Christopher Richardson, and Whitley Lynn; a brother, Clyde Buff of Morganton; and a sister, Clara Mae Patton and her husband, Willard of Morganton.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Brian Buff; a son-in-law, Wayne Lynn; brothers, Luther Buff and Vernon Buff; and sisters, Barbara Walker and Helen Schaffer.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2015 in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with the Reverends Keith Burkhart, Donald Lovelace, and Shawn Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park.
At other times the family will be at the home on Jenkins Road.
