Ivey “Wayne” Lingerfelt, 47, of Morganton, NC passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020. Born on June 10, 1972, was the son of Kenneth and Brenda Lingerfelt. Wayne enjoyed building things and working with his hands. He was an avid hunter and cyclist. Wayne loved his family.
In addition to his parents, Wayne is survived by his wife, Nicole Lingerfelt; daughter, Summer Lingerfelt; brother, Kenneth Lingerfelt; neice, Monica Plowden; aunt, Rebecca Poarch; uncles, Jimmy Smith and Brathel Poarch.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Hartland Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the church with Rev. Todd Smith and Rev. Steve Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Walking By Faith Community Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sossoman Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
