Irene Norma Olsen Johanson, 91, of Morganton, NC passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016. Born in Kings County, NY on March 25, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Olsen and Abalone Hansen-Fröysland Olsen. Irene was very beloved and will be remembered by her kind smile.
Mrs. Johanson is survived by her children, Dr. Bill Johanson and his wife, Linda, of Morganton and Elizabeth Johanson of Rhode Island; grandchildren, Tyler Johanson and Erica Ramazzini and her husband, Christian; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Charles Johanson; and a son, Alan Johanson.
Services for Mrs. Johanson will be held at a later date.
