Irene Morrow Vaughn

Irene Morrow Vaughn, 62, of Powerhouse Rd., Morganton, NC died unexpectedly Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at her residence. Born in Madison County, NC on April 19, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Jeff Roland Morrow and Minnie Lee Boings Morrow. Irene was a member of River Valley Baptist Church. She never met a stranger and also loved flower gardening.Irene is survived by her children, Lorine Vaughn and companion, Chris Tallant, of Connelly Springs, Stacey Vaughn and wife, Pam, of Morganton, Daniel Vaughn and wife, Kelly, of Morganton, Dianna Terry and husband, Scott, of Hickory, and Bruce Vaughn of Morganton; siblings, Iva Norton and husband, Andy, of Morganton, Cora Correll of Madison, NC, Annie Norton and husband, Amus, of Morganton, and Thomas Morrow and wife, Gail, of Marshall, NC; and ten grandchildren.The funeral will be held at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, August 8, 2010 at River Valley Baptist Church with Reverends Kenneth Shew and Charlie Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Sossoman Funeral Home, P.O.
