Helen W. Blankenship

Helen W. Blankenship, 87, of Morganton died Saturday, July 7, 2012 following a period of declining health. She retired as manager of Western Union Telegraph office after 30 plus years of service.Helen is survived by her son, Kenneth L. Blankenship, and a daughter, Carolyn B. Johnson.A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday at Burke Memorial Park.Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
