Greg Baker, 60, of Morganton, NC, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
Born in Burke County, NC on August 5, 1965, he was the son of Bobby R. Baker and Shirley Brown Baker.
Greg enjoyed carpentry and could make anything out of wood. He also enjoyed fishing and cooking.
In addition to his parents, Greg is survived by a brother, Michael Baker (Carla); aunts, Doris Duckworth, Lois Epley, and Joye Courtney; uncle, Ohlen Baker (Roxanne); and a number of cousins.
Greg was preceded in death by one aunt and three uncles.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Friday, October 3, 2025 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Allen Fredell officiating. Burial will follow in Rain Hill Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
