Goldie Hull Lail

Goldie Hull Lail, 81, of Laurel Creek St. in Connelly Springs, NC died Friday, July 23, 2010 at her residence. Born March 1, 1929 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Hosie Hull and Bessie Cook Hull. Goldie was a member of Smart’s Grove Baptist Church. She loved to cook and bake for her family.She is survived by her husband, Earnest Hoover Lail of the home; sons, Earnest Ray Lail, Sr. and wife, Judy, and Garry Wayne Lail, Sr., all of Connelly Springs; grandchildren, April Denise Lail, Earnest Ray Lail, Jr. and wife, Amber, Melonie Lail, Samantha Lail, Garry Wayne Lail, Jr., and Joshua Lee Lail; and a great grandson, Kenneth Jeremiah Crane Lail.In addition to her parents, Goldie was preceded in death by brothers, Bennie, Columbus, Tonnie, Belo, Thomas, Cletus, and Raymond Hull; and sisters, Dellie Parker, Minnie Young, Zullie Parker, and Viola Rector Hasting.Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Smart’s Grove Baptist Church with the Reverends Charles Lewis and Rick Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the home of her son, Ray, 4806 Laurel Creek St., Connelly Springs, NC.
