Gloria Curtis Jernigan, 75, of Hudson, formerly of Morganton, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017. Born in Burke County, NC on November 6, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Luther Curtis and Ruth Elizabeth Small Curtis. Gloria had attended Hudson United Methodist Church and worked at the Super 10 in Hudson. She enjoyed reading and was a lover of animals. She was a wonderful mother, wife, and friend to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
Gloria is survived by her daughter, Vicki Elizabeth Jernigan Haigler; and her caregiver and good friend, Crystal Pritchard.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, James Jernigan, Jr.; and a brother, Jerry Curtis.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm, Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.
