Glenda “Jean” Rudicill, 83 of Morganton, went home to be with the Lord Friday, November 30, 2018. Born on September 22, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Glen Roy Clay and Bedie Stephens Clay. Jean attended Oak Hill United Methodist Church.

Jean was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She also loved her church and church family. She most enjoyed sewing, and alterations, and baking and cooking for people.

Jean is survived by her sons, Todd Rudicill and Tim Rudicill; daughter Gina Rudicill; grandchildren, Clay Rudicill, Jenny Rudicill, Ryan Rudicill (Rachelle), Hillary Gills, Trevor Rudicill; great grandchildren, Lauren Rudicill, Katie Rudicill, Whitlee Gills, Millie Gills; sisters, Merle Buff, Pat Hennessee, Kate Baker.

In addition to her parents, Glenda is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Rudicill; son, Ricky Clay Rudicill; granddaughter, Hunter Taylor Watson.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Monday, December 3, 2018 at Oak Hill United Methodist Church. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in the church with the Rev. David Bean officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital or Oak Hill United Methodist Church.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
