Geneva Hall Fairchild, 88, of Morganton passed away Friday, May 10, 2019. Born May 17, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Kirby and Ada Hall.
Geneva is survived by her daughters, Linda Jenkins (Steve), Michelle Buff (Sherman), Sheila Fairchild (Angie), and Jane Pearson (Jim); her sons, Jerry Fairchild (Trish), Dwight Fairchild (Laura), Mike Fairchild (Jean), and Jeffrey Fairchild (Michelle); 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Calvin Fairchild and Clayton Persinger; and brothers, Herman Hall and Cloys Hall.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 13 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Chaplain Cy Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
