Frankie Virginia McCall Williams

Frankie Virginia McCall Williams, 84, of Morganton, NC died Thursday, December 10, 2015.  Born in Caldwell County, NC on January 31, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Robert Leroy McCall and Cora Jane Benge McCall.  Frankie was a member of Catawba Valley Baptist Church and enjoyed watching western movies and listening to Elvis.

A loving mother and grandmother, Frankie is survived by her son, Jerry Edward McCall and his wife, Marcia, of Morganton; grandchildren, Jerry “Tinker” McCall and his wife, Alison, and Libby Carswell and her husband, Eric, all of Morganton; great-grandchildren, Taylor Morrissey of the home and Marley McCall, Jacob Steffey, and Brendan McCall, all of Morganton; a great-great-grandchild, Sullivan Zimmerman of the home; step-grandsons, Dustin Carswell and Obie Carswell; and siblings, Lois Walsh of Valdese, NC, Vernon McCall and his wife, Mildred, of Morganton, Dallas McCall and his wife, Ruby, of Morganton, and Joyce Wright of Gaffney, SC.

In addition to her parents, Frankie was preceded in death by her husband, Robey Eli Williams; brothers, William, Clyde, Truitt, Charles, Clifford, Guy, and Gerald McCall; and sisters, Clara Brittain and Jane McCall.

The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Burke Memorial Park with the Rev. Clyde Buckner officiating.
