Floyd “Junior” Lee Poarch, Jr., 52, of Morganton, NC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 20, 2023.
Born in Caldwell County, NC on September 17, 1971, he was the son of Floyd Poarch, Sr. and Shirley Brown Moody.
Junior was always smiling and happy, and he enjoyed playing with cars and trucks. He loved trucks of any kind, and recently took a trip to see a firetruck. His favorite food was anything sweet and he loved to hug on people.
In addition to his parents, Junior is survived by his brother, Mark Shannon Poarch (Tammy); sisters, Heather Dawn Poarch, Laura Crystal Corella (Jesse), and Janna Pitcock; and numerous extended family.
The graveside service will be held at 5 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2023 at Kings Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Randy Goode officiating.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Jr was always a sweet boy with a noise like a power puff. I loved him so much. He will be missed. I know he is in the arms of the angels today with his heavenly father. Until we meet again I will think of you often I love you Jr.
I have enjoyed working with Junior all these years! He brightened up my day with his smile and those dimples. He was always so happy and I am touched that I got to be a part of his life! He impacted me so much and he will be greatly missed!
