Faye Triplett Hendrix, 88, fondly known as “Aunt Tuddie,” passed away Monday, July 11, 2022. Born May 6, 1934 in Wilkes County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Triplett and Gertie Maie Saunders Triplett.

Mrs. Hendrix was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and she was a strong prayer warrior. She was devoted to her faith and family and enjoyed traveling with her friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Winfred Hendrix; and a number of brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Stan Hendrix (Mitzi); daughter, Debbie Garrou (Tom); and grandchildren, Anna Hairfield (Frederik), Niki Humphries, and Blane Taylor (Dylan). Also surviving are beloved great-grandchildren, Jarred, Travis, Hannah, Nathan, Claire, Cara, Kailey, and Abbey; great-great-grandchildren, Albert and Violet; siblings, Rainnie Shew and Harm Triplett (Jackie); and many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, Friday, July 15, 2022 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Triplett and Rev. Steve Curtis officiating. The burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery on Pax Hill Road, Morganton.

Memorial contributions may be made to Amorem Hospice.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
