Faye Propst Rayburn, 88, of Morganton, NC passed away December 24, 2025. Born on July 15, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Beulah Propst. Faye was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church where she loved attending her Sunday School class. She loved her family dearly. Faye enjoyed painting, crocheting, traveling and her cats. She retired from the Department of Social Services.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her brothers, Gerald Propst and James Propst; sister, Virginia Dagenhart.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-nine years, Hal Rayburn; son, Lee Rayburn (Sandie); daughter, Anita Pinson (Jim); grandson, Cody Rayburn; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11am to 12pm Monday, December 29, 2025 at Hopewell Baptist Church. The funeral will begin at 12pm in the church with Rev. Danny Emory and Paster Braden Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Pavel Ureche (missionary/Romanian preacher) c/o Hopewell Baptist Church.
