Mrs. Eva Jo Edge McKinney, 88, of Morganton, NC died Saturday, December 3, 2005 at Grace Hospital following a brief illness. She was born September 24, 1917 in Yancey Co., N.C., to the late John Edward Edge and Emma Robinson Edge. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard James McKinney and a daughter, Eva Louise Self. Mrs. McKinney had retired from Broughton Hospital in 1980 and was a member of Burkemont Baptist Church in Morganton.
She is survived by a son, Rodney McKinney and wife, Diane; a daughter, Marsha Saulman; a sister, Florence Geouge, all of Morganton; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2005 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Reverends Eddy Bunton and Michael Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home
