Eric Scott Sherrill, 52, of Morganton passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021. Born in Evansville, IN on April 23, 1969, he was the son of Harry Sherrill of Oregon and Edith Mayhue Sherrill of Morganton. Eric was an employee of Bimbo Bakery in Valdese for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors, and he deeply loved his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Eric is survived by his wife, Karen Crump Sherrill; daughter, Shandara Evans(John Buff); grandchildren, Americus Evans (Tim Stilwell), Hunter Evans, and Eli Evans; great-grandchild, River Stilwell; sister, Christina Harralson; uncles, Chuck and David Mayhue; aunt, Helen Green; and his friend and brother, Kevin Burnette.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 3 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home.
