Emma Elizabeth Osborne Keller, 102, of Morganton passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018.  Born in Ashe County, NC on June 16, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Lilly McLoud Osborne.  She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and retired from Holiday Laundry.  She loved birds, flowers, and working in her garden.  Mrs. Keller was an avid reader who loved to sew, and she had kept many of the neighborhood children.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Keller was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, George Washington Keller; 4 children, Betty Keller Hart, Mary Helen Keller Ollis, George Laverne Keller, and William “Bill” Keller; and 4 brothers, Estel, Ray, Harold, and George Melvin Osborne.

A loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Elizabeth is survived by 3 children, Vera Keller Lail of Conover, NC, Marie Keller (Donald) Woods of Morganton, and Wanda Keller Setzer of Morganton; daughter-in-law, Gloria Perkins Keller of Morganton; grandchildren, Michael Wilson, Debbie Wilson Self, Gary Wilson, Randy Hart, Tommy Hart, Kenneth Hart, Crystal Hart Berry, Greg Woods, Bryan Woods, Dennis Keller, Teresa Keller Beach, Jimmy Ollis, Joyce Ollis Giles, Janet Ollis Howard, Angie Setzer Lewis, and Diane Setzer Hughes; 26 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Osborne Roark; brother, Rev. Carl Osborne, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m., Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church.  The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in the church with the Rev. Steve Curtis and Rev. Dr. Burt Wilbur officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Laura Ford, Chelsea Bruns, and the staff of Grace Heights for the loving care they provided to Mrs. Keller.
