Ellen Marie Absher, 87, of the Chesterfield community, died, Tuesday, December 22, 2020. Marie was born June 24, 1933 in Caldwell county to the late Hardy Daniel Coffey and Gertrude Beam Coffey. She as a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Vernon “Bunny” Absher.
Marie is survived by her sons, Dan, Larry and Gary Absher; grandchildren, Jaime Penley and Jason Absher; great-grandchildren, Macey and Morgan Penley; siblings, Charles and Roy Coffey, Lena Nichols and Alma Kincaid; and daughter-in-law, Linda Absher.
The family will have a private graveside service.
Memorials may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
