I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Ms. Edna. She was my neighbor in the S. anderson apartments and was the first to greet me when I moved in. She was always so kind and sweet. I pray for comfort in the loss of your mother, grandmother, friend. She was a truly wonderful woman.

Dr. Golden, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. So sorry for you loss.🙏🙏🙏

We are so sorry for the loss of your darling dear. She was lovely to all. Thinking of you all.
My prayers are with the family during this very difficult time….adjusting to her absence in their lives. Mrs. G was like a second Mom to me early in my life when I met her family in Martinsville and later in my life when I reconnected with her in Morganton. She was a woman of consistent and powerful faith who spent her life serving God through all the work she did teaching young people about the Lord. It amazed me that she had this drive as a teenager and stayed with that mission her whole life. Her family was EVERYTHING to her and her life was fulfilled by their love and blessings… her children, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren……her richest blessings! She has entered the realm we talked about many times….she is reunited with those she loved that went before her…..that brings peace to my soul. I loved her so….and I’ll be with her again when my turn comes. In the meantime she leaves us all with the memories and love we will cherish and keep with us forever!
Mom "G", as I called her, was one of my mother's best friends. I'll never forget Mom "G" coming to take my mother out for lunch and to go shopping when she really needed a friend like that. I am very close friends with her daughter Angela to this day. Love you Mom "G"!

Thinking of you all. I didn’t know your mother personally, but have enjoyed so much seeing the postings on facebook, very heart warming to see them. God bless you all.
Edna was my dear friend, since first meeting her in December of 1975. She was one of the most caring and hospitable people that I have ever known. Her love for others was only matched by her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May God comfort her family and all we who knew her. Heaven is richer with Edna there. I will miss seeing her on this earth.

I will always treasure the love shown by Edna”Mrs.G “ as so many of the young people who lives she touched referred to her by this name. Being one of those treasured teenagers she was always there to lend love and support no matter what the situation even after I grew into adulthood . She will truly be missed by all who knew her. To her family so sorry for your loss and may God comfort and carry you through this time.
