Edith Jaynes

Edith Jaynes, 92, of Hickory, NC died Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Conover Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Swain County, NC on April 8, 1921, she was the daughter of the late David Luther Conley and Pearl Smith Fleming Conley. In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Bennett Jaynes; a sister, Mary Johnson; and a nephew, Jack Annis, Jr.Edith is survived by her sister, Sarah E. Annis of Morganton; a brother, David L. Connelly and his wife, Carmella, of Ft. Washington, MD; and nieces, Joyce, Judy, Leasa, Dianne, and Marsha.The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Burke Memorial Park. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family.
