Eddie Puckett, 73, of Morganton, NC went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, July 3, 2022.
Born in Avery County, NC on September 14, 1948, he was the son of the late Earline Moody Puckett. Eddie was a member of South Side Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and sang in the choir. He worked at Packing Corporation of America for over 30 years. Eddie enjoyed sitting on the porch and reading his Bible. He loved life, his grandchildren, and gardening.
Eddie is survived by his wife of 27 years, Michelle Richner Puckett; daughters, Amanda Blair (Brian) and Angie Hill (Scott); step-daughter, Amber Phillips (Jordan); step-son, Josh Johnson (Kristen); seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, John and Allen Puckett; and sisters, Brenda Keen (Dewey), Phyllis Markland, and Cathy Reavis.
In addition to his mother, Eddie was preceded in death by brothers, Robert (Butch), Glenn, and Jerry Puckett; and sister, Margaret Braswell.
A celebration of Eddie’s life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of AMOREM, Grace Heights Health and Rehabilitation, Justin W. Snipes, FNP and his nurse, Diane, and all the friends who came by the house.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
