Dwight D. Stillwell, 77 of Granite Falls, NC, formerly of Morganton, NC went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 26, 2026. He was born on August 21, 1948 in Burke County to the late Roy Marston Stillwell and Margie Fisher Stillwell. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. Dwight worked for the US Postal Service and retired from Icard Post Office as the Postmaster. He loved to golf and sing karaoke.

He is survived by his daughters, Wendy Cook (Andy), Shanda Stillwell and their mother, Susan Whisenant; step-daughter, Kristy Chapman (Jason); grandchildren, Addison Chapman, Dylan Cook, Kadence Chapman, Chase Stillwell, and Bristol Chapman; many cousins, aunt; half brother, Ronnie Fisher.

There will be a private family service at a later date.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
