Dwayne W. McLean

Dwayne McLean, 75, of Morganton, NC, went to be with his heavenly father on Sunday, June 25, 2023.

Born in Burke County, NC on June 5, 1948, he was the son of the late Norman Wilson McLean and Margaret Cleo Stamey McLean.

Dwayne attended Oak Hill School and worked in automotive repair. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors, and he loved his dogs.

Dwayne is survived by his daughters, Lucy Ann McLean and Tonya McLean; grandchildren, Braeden, R.J., Shelby, Austen, Brian, Joshua, Ashley, Colby, and Austin; brother, Norman C. McLean (Diane); and sisters, Denise McLean and Margaret McLean.

In addition to his parents, Dwayne was preceded in death by a son, Dwayne Wilson McLean, Jr.; and a brother, Jerald McLean.

The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 1, 2023 at McLean Family Cemetery with Rev. Steve Curtis officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
