Douglas Keith Bollinger, 61, of Lenoir, NC died Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Born in Burke County, NC on November 15, 1954, he was the son of the late Kelly Rector Bollinger, Jr. and Alma Jean Rogers Moore. Mr. Bollinger was a graduate of Oak Hill High School and was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
Douglas is survived by his brother, Mike Bollinger and his wife, Carolyn, of Valdese, NC; his favorite aunt, Mary Alice Beane; and several cousins, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bollinger was preceded in death by his step-father, Hal Moore; a sister, Janet Houston; a brother, Tracy Bollinger; and a grand-niece, McKenzie Bollinger.
The family will receive friends from 11am-12pm, Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 12:15pm, Saturday at Forest Hill Cemetery with Pastor Carlton Davidson officiating.
