Douglas “Doug” White, 77, of Morganton, NC passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025. He was born on October 5, 1948 in Logan County, WV, to the late Alfred White Jr. and Maxine Nichols White. Doug was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Island Creek Coal Company and Pittston Coal Company. He also owned and operated Auction World in Vale, NC
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie White; daughters, Shannon Foster and Kelly White; sons, Douglas “Brad” White and Timmy White; grandchildren, Kayla White, Haley Cook, Jalen Nichols, Nick Hensley, Tristan White, and Madison White; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Brenda Hager.
Services will be announced at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
