Dorothy Wellmon Boone

Dorothy Wellmon Boone, 80, of Rutherford College, died Friday, July 25, 2008. She was born September 23, 1927 in Cleveland Co., NC, to the late B.S. Wellmon and Mabel Postan Wellmon. Mrs. Boone was a member of Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Harris Boone; and brothers, Charles Hershel Wellmon, and Curtis Lee Wellmon; and a sister, Elizabeth Frances Wellmon.Mrs. Boone is survived by her brothers, Alvin Eugene Wellmon of Rutherford College, and Carl Franklin Wellmon of Drexel; sisters Nina Kirk Wellmon, and Mabel Joy Wellmon both of Drexel, and Willie W. Annas of Rutherford College.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 28, 2008 at Forest Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Curran Welch officiating.
