Dorotha Francis McKinney, 88 of Morganton NC passed away, Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Born on June 11, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Elizabeth Williams. Dorotha was a very good mother and home maker. She made the best biscuits and gravy.
Dorotha is survived by her husband, Roger McKinney; children, Gary McKinney and Benney McKinney; grandchild, Stacey Ann; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Sue.
In addition to her parents, Dorotha is preceded in death by her brother John.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am, Friday, November 24, 2023 at Burke Memorial Park.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Roger, we are so sorry about the passing of Dorthea , had to write her name she always laughed when I would call her that , she was a sweet , wonderful person and always enjoyed our get together , she made the best coconut cakes , I remember the year she made me one for Christmas . And her stuffed pork chops were awesome . Roger , I know your going to miss her terribly but just remember you are in our thoughts and prayers in the days , weeks to come , we love you my friend
She was a fine lady and a great homemaker. She will be missed but glad she is in no pain or suffering.
