Doris Annette Carpenter, 71 of Connelly Springs, NC, passed away, Thursday, May 5, 2022. Born on August 2, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Essie Stephens. Doris loved God, her church, and reading her Bible. She was very energetic. Doris loved walking her dogs and planting her flowers.
Doris is survived by her brother, Danny Stephens (Nora); sisters, Loretta Barrett and Betty Jo Stephens; nephews, Shawn Stephens and Kirk Stephens; nieces, Connie Powell, Karen Hafter, Kim Pittman, Tammy Holland; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Lee Carpenter; brother-in-law, Clyde Barrett; brothers, Joe Bill Stephens, Sr., Douglas Lindol Stephens; sisters, Shelby Jean Graham, Jennifer Ann Hill.
The family will receive friends from 2pm until 3pm, Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home at 3pm with the Revs. Daniel Morgan Stephens and Dennis Pitts officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
