Donnelle Nickolas Cuthbertson

Donnelle Nickolas Cuthbertson, 30, of Drexel, NC died Monday, November 25, 2013. Born August 25, 1983 in Burke County, NC, he was the son of Donald A. Cuthbertson of Drexel and Vickie Crisp Cuthbertson of Glen Alpine. Donnelle graduated from East Burke High School where he lettered in football and also played basketball. Donnelle occasionally attended Shiloh A.M.E. Church and the Morganton First Church of God. He was self-employed with home improvement and lawn service businesses. He also loved to cut hair. Donnelle was a courteous and respectful young man who loved his family. He never met a stranger. Donnelle was loved by all who knew him, and he greeted everyone with a smile.In addition to his parents, Donnelle is survived by children, Melia Fox, Jakyra Jackson, Jaylen Barnett, Jordan Barnett, Donnelle N. Cuthbertson, Jr., and Ja’Miyah Noria; his fiancée, Christina Moody of Morganton; a sister, Cameron Thomas; paternal grandparents, Walter and Jacqueline Kanipe, and Velva Leon Jenkins; aunts, Susan Crisp and Allison Dula; uncles, Alfred, Ricky, Todd, and Rod Crisp; niece, Nia Connelly; nephew, Nikolas Connelly; and a host of cousins, aunts, and uncles.Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Shiloh A.M.E. Church with Rev. Dr. Wayne Beatty, Rev. Willis Camp, III, Rev. Benjamin Cuthbertson, and Minister Lander Corpening officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour before the funeral service.Memorial contributions may be made to Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center, PO Box 2608, Morganton, NC 28680 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
