Donna K. Davis, of Morganton, NC passed in her sleep on Monday, February 16, 2026. Donna was born in Gibson County, IN on July 17, 1949 to the late Donald and Erma Hallem. Donna met her husband, James Davis in Owensboro, KY, whom she was happily married to until his passing in 2012. She accompanied him throughout the Eastern United States during his career in the US Navy. In 1978, they moved to Southport, NC, where she was the Head Teller for First Citizens Bank until they relocated to Morganton, NC in 2001. Donna was a devoted Christian and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church where she participated in many activities including the Ladies Guild and the knitting group.

Donna is survived by her son, Christopher Davis; son-in-law, Anthony Beharry.

A mass will be held at noon, Monday, February 23, 2026, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Father Kenneth Whittington officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Chris I’m so sorry to hear that Donna has passed. I’m her aunt Helen TenBarge daughter we had so much fun together when we was young. Mi sure wish she would have came home this last summer I even told her she could stay with me while she was here I guess it wasn’t ment to be a. I know how you feel I lost my mom and it really hard wish you the best and you are in my prayers

Donna was such a sweet lady and neighbor. Donna and James were so welcoming to us when we moved into the neighborhood. I can see you and James walking the doggies together again in heaven my friend.
