Donald Merring, Sr., 68, of Connelly Springs, NC passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018. Born in Goshen, NY on November 23, 1949, he was the son of the late Leroy Merring and Ruth Dunn Merring. Donald worked as an automotive mechanic. For the last few years he sold items at Jamestown Flea Market.
Donald is survived by his wife, Helen Bowman of the home; son, Joshua Merring; daughters, Jessica, Crystal, and Victoria Merring; 10 grandchildren; and sisters, Donna Coulter, Nancy Schofield, and Irene Rearick.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a son, Donald “Little Don” Merring; a daughter, Kristie Robinson; sisters, Louise Davis and Virginia Steinhilber; and a brother, Clifton Jones.
The family will have a private service at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family.
