Donald F. Grady, 76, of Valdese died Sunday, July 15, 2018. Born in Burke County, NC on August 2, 1941, he was the son of the late William Forrest Grady and Lillie Mae Mull Grady. Donald attended Mt. Home Baptist Church. He loved to play golf. Mr. Grady was a people person who also enjoyed trips to get ice cream with his dog, Kasper.
Donald is survived by his wife of 39 years, Diann Mull Grady of the home; aunt, Sherry Mull of Glen Alpine; and son-in-law, Joe S. Phipps of Morganton.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his daughter, Roslyn Renee Phipps; and infant brother, Eddie Grady.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Mt. Home Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in the church with the Rev. Jerry Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
